A 52-year-old man has been arrested for the alleged rape of a teenager, his friend's daughter in north Delhi's Kamla Nagar area, police said today.
The accused has been identified as Ram Kanaujia, who is a neighbour of the victim. He has been booked under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Acts, said a police officer.
In her complaint, the 16-year-old girl told the police that Kanaujia was a good friend of her father and used to often visit their house and had allegedly sexually assaulted her several times, the officer said.
Kanaujia has been arrested and the girl has been given counselling by an NGO, the officer added.
