The accused has been identified as Mohammad Shah Faizal.
He was arrested by Delhi police from Vishwas Nagar in East Delhi's Shahdara area, said Ajay Kumar, DCP of East Delhi district police.
Faizal along with his wife, Farha, had allegedly cheated the publishing company where he worked as a sales executive. He had produced fake sales confirmation orders of over Rs one crore from different schools in North Eastern states and Bhopal, Kumar said.
On the basis of the fake orders he received books worth Rs one crore and sold them in Guwahati, without knowledge of his employer and kept the money, police said.
