The 37-year-old woman, who stays in Pedder Road locality in South Mumbai, had noticed that she was followed by an unidentified man since past three months, DCP (Detection) Dhananjay Kulkarni said.
Following this, yesterday she lodged a complaint with the Malabar Hill police, he said.
A trap was laid and Sajid Khan, a driver by profession, was arrested by the officials of Gamdevi police, Kulkarni added.
The Pedder Road area comes under the jurisdiction of Gamdevi police station.
A case has been registered and Khan booked under section 354(D)(stalking) of IPC, police said, adding further investigations are underway.
