Man attacks police constable over stalking plaint

A police constable was assaulted by a man whom his neighbour has accused of stalking her here today, police said.
"The incident happened in the morning hours when the constable Jayesh Dhavane, attached to Virar police station, accompanied the woman to the house of the man in Sainath Nagar," said sub-inspector SG Dhone.
The woman has accused Milind Jadhav, who stays in her locality, of staring and stalking her.
Jadhav beat up Dhavane when the latter tried to inquire about the complaint, Dhone said.
Jadhav is booked under appropriate sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC), but is yet to be arrested, he said.
