As he completes 100 days in office, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said today the residuary State is in a "crisis" but he sees an "opportunity" in it as he strives to raise financial resources to honour his pre-poll promises.
"Andhra Pradesh is in trouble temporarily. We are in a crisis. I am seeing an opportunity in crisis," he said during an interaction with media persons here.
The TDP-led Government is trying its best to fulfil all its promises, said Naidu, who assumed office on June 8.
"As on today, we are in crisis. (But) the future is bright. So, I am motivating people to find ways to raise resources."
Last month, the Naidu Government announced a farm loan waiver scheme, an initiative analysts said is expected to be a drain on the State exchequer.
"I am doing my best how to keep the promises. That's the exercise I am doing," the Chief Minister said.
Naidu maintained his Government has done its best with "so many constraints", including issues of distribution of bureaucrats, in the wake of Andhra Pradesh's division and creation of Telangana.
Naidu stated that he is leveraging his "image" (that of pro-industry acquired when he was Chief Minister earlier) and using his clout to attract investment into the State.
The CM said he is preparing a "module" - public redressal system - by which he would directly interact with people one day in a week or month since all mandals (talukas or sub-district units) have video conference facility.
"We will sort out all problems of the public," he assured.
