22-year-old Pupu Saini was beaten to death at his residence last evening following which the men named Bhim Singh, Sudhir, Monu and Pahadi were booked in a murder case, New Mandi SHO Parveen Yadav said.
Angered by the incident, locals blocked the Balaji Chowk here and kept the body on the road in protest, he said.
The body was later sent for postmortem after police intervened, Yadav said.
