Raja Mohammad, arrested recently by a special team, was detained under Goondas Act yesterday, a police release said.
The team was formed on the directions of Commissioner T K Rajendran on a tip off that some persons were forcing women into flesh trade after promising them opportunities in Tamil cinema and TV serials, it said.
Since Mohammed had served prison terms in connection with three cases in the past, he was detained under Goondas Act, it said.
