Man dies during chariot festival

A man died during the chariot festival in the temple town of Amaravathi in the district today, police said.
In this festival, held on the occasion of Shivratri, devotees pull a chariot of Lord Shiva.
Thota Murali, the victim, fell down and was crushed under the wheels of the chariot, said inspector Venkataprasad.
