The video of the incident, occurred in south Goa, went viral last week.
In the video, a middle-aged man is purportedly seen bragging about his "contacts" in the CMO when a traffic police constable asked him to pay fine for riding a two-wheeler without wearing helmet.
"Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has directed DGP Muktesh Chandar to inquire into the incident wherein an unknown person was seen using the name of the CMO in the video," a CMO spokesman said in a statement.
