Man gets 10-year jail for raping minor tribal girl

A local court today awarded 10 years imprisonment to a 23-year-old man for raping a minor tribal girl.
First Additional Sessions Judge Rakesh Kshotriya also imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 on the accused Babulal for raping the girl behind the district court on May 22 this year.
On a complaint by the girl's parents, Babulal was arrested from his residence in Vidisha town, according to the prosecution.
He was convicted under relevant sections of the IPC and Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the prosecution said.
