The man identified as Janaki was arrested yesterday after the medical examination of the 15-year-old girl confirmed rape, they said.
The incident came to light when the victim told about her ordeal to her mother on Wednesday when she had come to meet her at her house in Kanjhawala area in North Delhi, police said.
"The victim was staying with her father after her parents started living separately a year ago due to marital discord. Her mother stays somewhere else with the couple's other two children. The girl informed her mother that her father was sexually assaulting her since the last several months," said a police official.
