mob lynched a man in Avkarpur village in Bihar's Vaishali district, police said today.
The mob caught hold of the 35 year-old unidentified man in the village near the house of one Yadunandan Paswan last night and mercilessly beat him, Mahua police station's Station House Officer (SHO) Vinay Kumar said, adding he died on the spot.
The body has been sent for autopsy at the Sadar hospital, he said.
A murder case has been registered against unidentified persons and an investigation was underway in the matter, the SHO said.
