Additional Sessions Judge Lakhanlal Garg also imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on convict Bhukan Rajak.
Rajak had gone to the house of the 14-year-old girl, his neighbour, and asked her to help him in work at his house. When she came to his place, he sexually assaulted her in Bamor locality on July 18, 2014, Deputy Director Public Prosecution Arun Shrivastava said today.
He said that when the girl raised an alarm, the accused fled from his house.
The victim's family registered a case following which Rajak was apprehended and a charge sheet was filed, Shrivastava said.
