Man shoots himself in the head, body found from room

One person in his mid-30s allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself on his head in a rented room at Ekbalpore area of the city today.
Police broke open the door of the room in a house on B K Road and found Azhar Hossain alias Raja lying in a pool of blood with bullet injury on his head and a country-made pistol by his side, a senior Kolkata Police officer said.
"The incident happened late last night at around one AM. Locals heard a sound from the room and informed us. We had to break open the door of the room," the officer said adding the man was declared brought dead when taken to CMRI.

Going by preliminary investigations, it appears to be a case of failed love affair, he said adding the man appears to have been in depression for the reason.
