Man shot dead by next-door neighbour on Diwali

A 45-year-old man was shot dead while his wife was injured after they got into an argument with their next-door neighbours on Diwali in Marka area, police said today.
Ram Murat Tiwari and his wife Reena were preparing for the festivities yesterday when they had a verbal spat with their neighbour Bardani Singh, who opened fire at them, they said.
While Tiwari died on the spot, his wife was rushed to a nearby hospital where her condition is stated to be critical, police said.
A case was registered in the matter and a search is on to trace the accused, they added.
