Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi today accused some of his cabinet colleagues of doubting his ability to perform and said he would deliver on his promises to the people.
"Some people whisper that I am playing test cricket, some others say I am playing One Day International even as few others say that I am playing T20, but I'll deliver on my promises irrespective of whatever version of the game I get to play," he said.
"I'll ensure that my ministerial colleagues digest the fact that I can deliver on my promises irrespective of the type of cricket I get to play," he said.
The chief minister said at a function in the district that he had announced that contractors from the SC/ST/OBC/MBCs would be given work upto Rs 50 lakh without tender, but some cabinet ministers had not digested his promise to the weaker sections.
Senior JD(U) leaders, including former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, refused to comment on Manjhi's statement on some of his cabinet colleagues.
"I'll not say anything without knowing the facts as to what the chief minister has said....I am not the type of person who reacts without finding out the details of a matter," Kumar said.
The state unit chief of JD(U) Bashistha Narayan Singh too refused to say anything on Manjhi's alleged aspersion on his cabinet colleagues and said that the issue was not relevant in today's context.
