Manu-Maneesha ease into second round at badminton Nationals

The mixed doubles pair of Manu Attri and Maneesha K. beat Raj Kumar Chander and Anita Ohlan of Railways 2111 217 in a mixed doubles encounter on the opening day of the 82nd National Badminton Championship, here today.
The women's singles had G. Rutvika Shivani of PSPB comfortably beating Jharkhand's Kanjibilliya Deyashi 21-13, 21-13 to proceed to the pre quarter-finals.
Veterans Chetan Anand and V. Diju won their men's doubles encounter against Manipur's young shuttlers Khwairakpam and M. Konthoujam in straight games.
