Cadres of the banned CPI (Maoist) have killed a man in Bihar's Aurangabad district after accusing him of being a 'police informer', police said on Friday.

The Maoists killed 30-year-old Sunil Paswan, a resident of Pasiya Bhandari village under Deo police station limits, on Thursday night and dumped his body at a nearby forest, Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations) Rajesh Kumar Singh said.

Leaflets were found near the body in which CPI (Maoist) accused Paswan of being a police informer and held him responsible for the deaths of three Maoists in a police encounter, Singh said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem, the ASP said, adding that raids are being conducted in the area to nab the perpetrators of the murder.
