Mariah Carey will always be a 'diva'

Mariah Carey may have taken the director's seat and actors role for new Hallmark Channel movie, "A Christmas Melody", but the singer says she will continue being glamorous like a diva.
The 45-year-old "Without You" hitmaker says she will always be a diva she has been till now, reported People magazine.
"I'm still always going to be a diva in certain ways, and I don't mean that in the bad sense of the word. I just mean, like, if there's a makeup artist there and they don't mind touching me up while I'm directing," Carey said.
In the movie she is playing a music teacher who takes a stressed-out young singer under her guidance.

The project will be her first directorial feature in a movie.
"I've been directing so much of my own work for a really long time. A lot of music videos that I didn't take credit for," she said.
"A Christmas Melody" will air on December 19.
