Rare marine species such as sea lizards and seahorses worth several lakhs of rupee in the international market have been unearthed from the shores of Paccipatinam here, police said on Wednesday.
Sea lizards weighing 79 kg and sea horses weighing eight kg have been recovered, and they were meant to be smuggled to Sri Lanka, the police said, adding that two persons have been arrested in this connection.
