Martin Scorsese's 'The Irishman' may head to Netflix

Martin Scorsese's "The Irishman" may be heading towards Netflix, which apparently offered USD 105 million for a full buyout of the film.
The news comes in as a development after the movie's Mexican financier, Gaston Pavlovich of Fabrica de Cine fell out, two sources involved with the project told Deadline.
It is out in the open STX, which tied to Fabrica de Cine, had already signed agreements with all output partners to the tune of USD 50 mn, with about USD 40 million more accumulated in tax credits and incentives.
The mediation went on late and later in the evening, it was at Paramount Pictures, which still has its USD 15 million deal from domestic rights.

To be able to move the venture to the popular online-streaming portal, many deals would have to be brought under the light legally, which has not happened yet, but it would be easier for domestic to move over to Netflix.
The film is based on the deathbed story of mob hitman Frank Sheeran (DeNiro), who claims to have had insider information about the disappearance and death of American labor union leader, Jimmy Hoffa, played by Al Pacino.
The film is slated for release in 2018.
