Blige has been making the transition from singing to acting as she has just finished Dee Rees-directed "Mudbound".
She starred earlier this year as Evillene in "The Wiz Live!," a role that earned her a Critics' Choice TV Award nomination for best supporting actress in a Movie Made for Television or Limited Series.
She also appeared on an episode of ABC's hit comedy series "Black-ish".
