Medium sugar gains in lacklustre trade

Medium sugar gained further in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi wholesale market here today following rising demand from stockists and retailers.
While, small sugar ruled steady in absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
Medium sugar (M-30) edged up by Rs 4 per quintal to Rs 3,686/3,912 from Monday's close Rs 3,682/3,912.
However, small sugar (S-30) closed unchanged at Rs 3,572/3,802.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,686/3,912 (Rs 3,682/3,912).
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,572/3,802 (Rs 3,572/3,802).
