Medium sugar softens in lacklustre trade

Medium sugar prices softened further in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi wholesale market here today following sluggish demand from stockists and retailers amidst ample stock positions.
Meanwhile, small sugar ruled steady in absence of any worthwhile buying.
Medium sugar (M-30) edged down by Rs 6 per quintal to Rs 3,626/3,892 from last Saturday's close at Rs 3,632/3,892.
Small sugar (S-30) closed unchanged at Rs 3,542/3,741 per quintal.

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,542/3,741 (Rs 3,542/3,741).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,626/3,892 (Rs 3,632/3,892).
