Though the first half seemed lackluster as both sides wanted to size each other up first, the game got interesting in the 20th minute when the host team opened its account through a fine attempt by Marshal Kurkalang.

However their joy was short lived when a minute later the visitors equalized through the feet of Sarbananda Sonawal keeping the score line at a draw at the end of the first half.

The second half saw a much more spirited MLP team as the lads continued to attack the opposition through some fine moves and great team work which resulted in another goal by the local cops
