Mercury drops by up to 3 deg C at most places in Rajasthan

Mercury fell by up to three degrees Celsius at most places in Rajasthan due to southwest monsoon progressing upwards north and western disturbances, MeT officials said today.
Churu recorded a maximum temperature of 43.5 degrees Celsius followed by Kota (42.8), Bikaner (41.7), Pilani and Jaisalmer (both 41.5), Gangangangar (41.4), Barmer (41.3), Jaipur (41.2), Jodhpur (40.5), Ajmer (39) and Dabok (38.2), respectively.
The minimum temperature at most places in the state was recorded between 27.3 and 32.8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
MeT department has predicted dust storm/thunderstorm with rainfall as likely to occur at isolated places in the state.
The weatherman has warned of thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds at isolated places as likely at a few places in state during the next 24 hours.
