Addressing a press conference here today, a group of PAPs said at least 561 hutments in various areas including, Ghatkopar and Andheri, had been removed for these projects and flats for their rehabilitation have been constructed at Nahur in the city years back.
"Injustice is being meted out to us. Hundreds of PAPs had been issued provisional allotment letters by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) in 2007-08. However, so far we have not been given the possession letters and keys for the flats," president of Railway Zopadpatti Punarvasan Samiti, Changdev Wankhede, said.
One of the project affected, Sujata Mhadik (35), claimed that she lost her shelter near Sion-Koliwada for the Monorail project in 2007.
When contacted, spokesperson of MMRDA Dilip Kawathkar, said he would comment on the issue after going through the details of the case.
