Jos Butler top-scored with a 19-ball 38 while Nitish Rana (34) and Hardik Pandya (35 not out) were the other notable contributors.
For Pune, Imran Tahir grabbed three wickets for 28 runs while Rajat Bhatia took two wickets.
IPL's biggest buy this season, Ben Stokes made his debut and took one wicket for 36 runs from his quota of four overs.
