A total of 23 Army troops, eight commandos and three Mi-17 V5 helicopters took part in the mission, which was conducted in front of beach goers and onlookers at Radhanagar beach, officials of the tri-services Andaman and Nicobar Command said.
The commandos carried out low hover jumps, slithering and SUR operations from Mi-17 V5 aircraft, which continued for ten minutes at the beach.
"Operation by the Command at Port Blair will instill a great sense of confidence among the local population and tourists," said Command PRO R P Deshpande.
