The girl was playing outside her home yesterday evening when the accused took her with him on the pretext of giving her a chocolate, the police said.
He took her to an isolated place where he allegedly raped her after threatening her of dire consequences, they added.
The accused later managed to escape from the spot after leaving the victim behind. The girl returned to her house and informed her parents about the incident, who then approached the police.
