Minor girl raped, killed by domestic help in MP

A 7-year-old girl was allegedly raped and killed by her domestic help in neighbouring Raisen district, police said today.
The accused, identified as Daulat Singh Bheel (40), was employed by the victim's father as a domestic help and also to work at his tea and coconut shop, Obaidullaganj police station in-charge, Inspector Manoj Singh said.
On Sunday, the minor girl was alone at their residence near Bhojpur temple in Raisen as her mother had gone to Nayapura for some work, he said.
Taking advantage of the situation, the accused lured the girl on some pretext and took her to a nearby forest area where he allegedly raped her, Singh said.

He later killed her and hid the body under leaves and stones.
However, when the girl did not return home till late in the night, her father got suspicious and when someone said that he saw Daulat taking the minor away, police was informed about it.

During questioning, Daulat admitted that he committed the crime, he said.
A case was registered against him under relevant sections of the IPC, the Inspector said, adding that Daulat was yesterday arrested on the charges of raping and killing the girl.
The body of the victim was recovered from the spot, Singh said.
The accused will be produced in court today, the police officer said, adding that further probe into the case was on.
