Missing jawan traced to Pune, service rifle recovered

An Army jawan, who had gone missing with his service rifle and ammunition from an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district, was traced to his home state Maharashtra and the weapon has been recovered today, police said here.
Sepoy Shrikant Tukaram, who had gone missing with a rifle, three magazines and 60 rounds from his Army camp in Udhampur on July 6, was traced to his home town Pune, they said.
He was brought to Udhampur and is being questioned. His service rifle has been recovered, police said.
