The sky remained heavily overcast with fog engulfing most parts of the state.
The tourist resort Kasauli was wettest in the region with 31 mm of rains while Bangana and Jubbar Hatti had 28 mm and 24 mm rains, followed by Nahan and Theog 22 mm, Solan 21 mm, Kufri 18 mm, Mashobra 17 mm, Dharmpur 15mm, Mandi 9 mm and Paonta Sahib 8 mm.
Una in Shivalik foothills remained hottest in the region with maximum temperature at 32.0 deg C, a drop of 1.5 deg C while Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded a high of 31.2 deg C and 29.6 deg C, followed by Nahan 28.1 deg C, Dharamshala and Solan 27.6 deg C and Kalpa 22.2 deg C.
The state capital Shimla recorded a high of 20.4 deg C against 23.0 deg C yesterday.
The minimum temperatures also dropped at some places with Nahan recording a low of 17.7 deg C, three degree below normal while Una recorded minimum temperature at 24.2 deg C, followed by Mandi 22.1 deg C, Sundernagar 21.7 deg C, Dharamsala and Solan 20.2 deg C and Shimla 15.5 deg C.
The local MeT office has predicted rains and thunderstorm at many places in the next 48 hours with heavy rains at isolated places in low and mid hills.
