Modi should contest election against Dikshit: Delhi Cong

Hitting back at Narendra Modi for his blistering attack on Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Delhi Congress today dared him to fight election against her even as the CM herself chose to project development agenda of her government, saying her work is visible in the city.
Addressing a rally at Paschim Vihar, Dikshit said her government has been working very hard to ensure welfare of all communities while carrying out an inclusive development agenda for the city.
Her cabinet colleague Raj Kumar Chauhan, however, slammed Modi for attacking Dikshit and challenged him to contest against her in the assembly elections.
Terming Modi as a divisive figure, Chauhan alleged that the Gujarat Chief Minister helped Delhi BJP financially for the rally at Japanese park.

"He is a divisive figure. If he has guts then he should contest assembly election against Sheila Dikshit. His politics is to divide the society. So people of Delhi will not accept such communal politics," said Chauhan in presence of Dikshit.
"The Gujarat chief minister helped the Delhi BJP with funds to hold the rally," he alleged.

He said that Modi did not have time to visit the flood affected areas in his state.
Dikshit today accused the opposition of misleading people with false promise on reduction of power rates by thirty per cent.
"They can fulfil their assurance by effecting ten hours of power cut which will reduce your bills by 30 per cent. The government is providing round the clock power supply and the opposition is going to give 12-hour supply," Dikshit said.

"We have been working for the masses whereas opposition has no policies and programme for the public.
"The opposition even wanted to stall the regularisation of unauthorised colonies. The opposition during the five-year term did nothing to regularise the colonies. It is for the people to make a choice between darkness and an illuminated Delhi," Dikshit said.
