Molester assault woman, later arrested

A woman in her early 30s was assaulted when she was walking down a lane with her husband in the southern part of the city, the police said.
The incident happened at around 9.30 PM yesterday when the couple was returning home through Dover Lane when the molester Simon Jones (38) attacked them and tried to embrace the woman, they said.
When her husband tried to stop Jones, he was allegedly beaten up by Jones, they said adding the woman then dialled 100 for help, who directed police from Ballygunge Police Station to rush to their help.
A team of police rushed to the spot and nabbed Jones, who was later identified as the resident of Panditya Road, they added.
