In his concluding address at the two-day Madhya Pradesh BJP executive meeting here, Chouhan said, "The Congress is spreading misinformation about the Land Acquisition Bill. There is a need to dispel misunderstanding about the Bill which is being spread by the Congress".
"Congress is politicising the Land Acquisition Bill," he said.
He said that the Madhya Pradesh government would celebrate this year as the centenary year of RSS ideologue Deendayal Upadhayaya, by implementing schemes for the welfare of the poor.
He said when the Congress was in power in Madhya Pradesh (1993-2003), it didn't care for them, but now it is trying to become their saviour.
He said that the UPA government's crop insurance scheme was faulty and was aimed at benefitting insurance companies.
"We are going to make recommendations to the Central government to remove anomalies in the crop insurance scheme and seek permission to tailor a separate such scheme for Madhya Pradesh," Chouhan said.
