MTDC, Ola to promote responsible tourism

The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) and cab aggregator Ola have come together to promote and raise awareness about responsible tourism.
Other than MTDC, Ola is also working on the same with tourism corporations of the states like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Assam, a release said.
"With Ola Outstation, we are aiming to make outstation travel as convenient and reliable as daily commute."
He further said that with this campaign, we intend to make those trip more responsible, enjoyable and affordable," Ola's operations head Vijay Ghadge said.

Mumbai: JBM Group has made a foray into the waste-to- energy sector and has signed a concession agreement with Haryana to build and operate a 5-mw power plant at Sonepat that will treat 500 tonne of municipal waste per day.

The JBM Group, which is into auto components, buses & electric vehicles, engineering & design services and renewables, will develop the plant at investment of Rs 176 crore and will entail door to door collection of waste, its transportation, construction and operation of the power plant.

JBM Group has roped in leading European company Ekolog which has over 30 years of experience in operating integrated waste management systems in Europe and Asia.
The power plant will be spread across 20 acres in Sonepat, for which the land has been allotted by the state government.

The iconic watch company has collaborated with select top clubs in various leagues, including the English Premier League and La Liga, to produce special watches with the clubs' insignias. And with this tie-up Mumbai City FC becomes the first team in the country to become part of this initiative.
