Ravi Mandal alias Ravi Bangali, a fugitive who was on the run after escaping from Suddhowala prison in August 2011 was arrested following a tip-off from Jalesar bust stand under Hathras junction police station area in Haryana yesterday, they said.
After his escape from prison Mandal was living somewhere in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas ditrict. An STF team went to West Bengal and laid a trap to arrest him but Mandal got a wind of it and fled to Haryana to dodge police.
