Murthy-Kumar wins in National TSD Rally C'ship

Tata Motors lead pair of Chidananda Murthy and co-driver BS Sujith Kumar, both from Bangalore, have won the pro-stock category in the seventh round of the Indian National TSD Rally Championship.
The duo thus consolidated their lead in the Pro Stock category with 124 points, while their teammate Saurav Chatterjee-Ashoke Kumar Basu who finished second, closely follow with 107 points in the championship points table.
Anubhav De and his co-driver Chandan Sen overcame a challenge from Sekhar Choudhury and Prasanjeet Roy to win the open category.
27 cars and 12 motor bikes vied for top honours in eastern India's biggest TSD rally covering a distance of 280 kms that included 20 kms dirt track from Kolkata to Mandarmoni near Digha held on Sunday.
The biggest names of India's motor sport circuit locked horns in this battle for supremacy which was also the round two of Eastern India TSD Challenge.

Pro-Exp: 1 K P Katik Maruthi/ S Sankar Anand, 2 Sachin Singh/ Prakash M, 3 M D Ganesh Moorthy/ T Nagarajan.
Pro-Stock: 1 Chidanand Murthy/ Sujit Kumar B S, 2 Sourav Chatterjee/ Ashok Basu, 3 Rajib Sarkar/ Moulinath Ghosh.
Open: 1 Anubhab De/ Chandan Sen, 2 Sekhar Choudhury/ Prasanjeet Roy, 3 Subir Roy/ Nirav Mehta.
Open-OE: 1 Soumyadeb Shaw/ Souvik Sarkar, 2 Arvind Ganeriwala/ Rajkumar Mundra, 3 Surajnil Dasgupta/ Ashok Bhattacharya.
Bike Rally: Open class: 1 Hyat Ullah KHan/ Sabat Ullah Khan, 2 Diptojoytri Ghosh/ Mukesh Thakkar, 3 Avik Saha/ Saptarshi Basu.
