Samajwadi Party leader Virvhaan Singh has alleged that Nagpal misbehaved with him when he went to her office today.
"When I along with some residents went to her (Nagpal) office for some work, Nagpal misbehaved with us," Singh told reporters.
He was allegedly manhandled at Nagpal's office and was threatened with arrest. Singh claimed that Nagpal was upset with him over delay in beginning work on a sanitation project.
Mathura CDO Nagpal, however, dismissed the allegations saying Singh became furious when she questioned him about the delay.
Earlier, another SP leader Jageshwar Singh Yadav had accused Nagpal of misbehaving with him and threatening him.
It is to be mentioned that Nagpal's husband, IAS officer Abhishek Singh, was suspended by the UP Chief Minister for allegedly treating a Dalit teacher in an "inhuman" manner in Mathura district.
Nagpal was in midst of a controversy when she was suspended by the SP government after she ordered razing of the boundary wall of an under-construction mosque in Gautam Buddh Nagar district.
