Sharif made the remarks while visiting the Combined Military Hospital in Rawalpindi today to enquire about those injured in back-to-back attacks by the Taliban at Bannu city and a market in Rawalpindi.
Defence Minister Khwaja Asif and army chief Gen Raheel Sharif were also present.
The premier said armed forces personnel had rendered sacrifices in the war against terrorism and the nation is proud of them, said a statement from his office.
He met the injured and enquired about their health.
Thirteen people, including several soldiers, died when a suicide bomber blew himself up near the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi yesterday. A blast within Bannu cantonment on Sunday killed 26 troops.
