"There is anxiety and serious apprehensions in the minds of flood victims that the rehabilitation process will be adversely affected by the electoral process in the state. We appeal the EC to ensure smooth and uninhibited continuation of the rehabilitation process by relaxing procedures of the Model Code," NC spokesman Junaid Mattu said in a statement.
Mattu said the sufferings and critical needs of the flood victims needed to be given prime importance till the last flood victim is rehabilitated with utmost dignity and respect.
The spokesman said the party would continue to maintain equal focus on relief and rehabilitation of flood victims, while campaigning in the run up to the elections.
