NCC cadets to motivate a lakh people to donate eyes

NCC volunteers from West Bengal and Sikkim directorate have succeeded to persuade 2,000 citizens to pledge their eyes and now aim to motive 1,00,000 more people to donate in next few months.
Cadets have already persuaded 2,000 citizens to donate their eyes in recent weeks and are targeting a total of 1,00,000 by National Cadets Corps (NCC) Day in November, Major General Shyam Srivastava, ADG, NCC, West Bengal and Sikkim Directorate.
The initiative was launched yesterday by NCC Director General Lt Gen Aniruddha Chakravarty, who lauded the efforts of NCC in West Bengal.
