"13,384 complaints were dealt and 88 hearings were held" since 2010-11.
"All these cases except 533 have been disposed of...Till March 1, 2016," Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said in his written reply to queries on number of complaints dealt with by the NCM.
To a state-specific query, he said 48 complaints were received and dealt with from Telangana as on March 1. He added four complaints are pending from the state as on the same date.
Asked about steps being taken by the government to ensure complaints are dealt with in a timely manner, he said the ministry writes to NCM to dispose of the complaints promptly "whenever incidences of delay" is brought to its notice.
