Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar today said he was hopeful of a good bargain for his party, NCP, in the seat-sharing talks with the ally Congress.
Pawar was here to review the drought situation in the district.
He said his party had performed better in the Lok Sabha elections in the state than Congress, so it was demanding a fair share of seats in coming Assembly elections.
State NCP chief Sunil Tatkare said that NCP would be contesting at least one seat in each district. "Our workers here are insisting on at least three seats from Chandrapur district. The decision would be taken during final talks," he said.
