Govt appoints A S Bakshi as new CERC member

The government has appointed A S Bakshi as new member of Central Electricity Regulatory Commission.
Bakshi was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Minister of State for Power, Coal and New and Renewable Energy Piyush Goyal here today.
"On July 30, the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) had approved the appointment of Bakshi as member, CERC under Ministry of Power for a period of five years from the date of his taking over charge of the post or upto his attaining the age of 65 years , whichever is earlier," an official release said.
