Police said the accused -- Sushil Sharma, Rakesh, Rajvir, Satish and Ravinder -- were arrested from Naujhil-Managarhi road yesterday evening.
The accused were stealing gas from LPG capsules being transported from Mathura refinery to various places and refilling them in cylinders for illegal sale in the market, a police officer said.
They were arrested following a complaint filed by civil supply inspector Narendra Kumar Gupta. Police have recovered four filled commercial gas cylinders, eighty empty cylinders, two capsule tankers filled with LPG, one canter, gas filling equipment and a car from them.
