NDTV Q1 net loss at Rs 38.36 cr

Broadcasting major New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) today reported widening of consolidated net loss to Rs 38.36 crore for the first quarter ended June 30.
The company had reported a net loss of Rs 24.29 crore in April-June quarter a year ago, NDTV said in a BSE filing.
NDTV's total consolidated income from operations was down 5.99 per cent to Rs 112.81 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 120.01 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Its revenue from television media and related operations during the quarter under review was down 4.26 per cent to Rs 111.78 crore in comparison with Rs 116.76 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
While its retail/e-commerce was down 65.33 per cent to Rs 2 crore in Q1 of FY 2016-17 as against Rs 5.77 crore of the same period last year.
Shares of NDTV today settled at Rs 86.10 on BSE, up 2.38 per cent from previous close.
