"Setting up of the seventh Pay Commission has become due in view of DA having gone much beyond 50 per cent of basic salary and pension, as such there should be no delay in making a decision in this matter," president NMC, Subash Shastri, told reporters here.
Shastri also demanded that merger of the 50 per cent DA in to the basic pay and pension.
The NMC head also asked for regularisation of daily wagers of the state engaged after March 1994.
"There should be time bound implementation of policy for regularisation of daily wagers who have completed seven years of service in March 2012," Shastri said.
"The wages of the daily wagers should also be raised to Rs 10,000 per month," he added.
