Sahasran Khan killed in the shooting incident in Bishnupura village of Rupandehi District this afternoon, Himalayan Times reported.
Three of his gang members also surrendered before the police. A pistol was seized from their possession.
Superintendent of Police Rajendra Dhakal said Khan was involved in some murder and robbery cases that had taken place in the district.
